Make Douglas County Better Than We Found It

The question I've been asked most frequently is why do I want to be a Douglas County Commissioner. The answer is simple: Commissioner District 1 has been inadequately represented for a long time. Though the Gardnerville Ranchos GID represents almost all of District 1, the current Commissioner (my opponent) has never been to even one meeting. I find it unacceptable to not have a Ranchos champion fighting for us on the Board of County Commissioners. When your GID represents 23% of the County, you deserve more.

During all of the eleven years I’ve lived here, I’ve regularly attended Commissioner meetings, studied the packet of backup information provided by the County, and prepared public comment for each meeting. As a result, I have a well-developed understanding of the issues our County faces.

After retiring from a management position and moving to our County, my purpose became serving my community. I'm on my sixth year on the Board of Equalization and my fourth year on the Ranchos Board. I’ve been a member of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee for eight years, in two of which I was Vice Chair and the last three the Chair. In short, I am dedicated to making Douglas County the best place it can be.
